"Spiritual redemption is but a small part of redemption as a whole" - Rev. Tim Costello, at Clayton Church of Christ Fellowship 19/08/07
Rev. Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision delivered a message on redemption. Not spiritual redemption but a physical redemption. God came to seek and save the lost, but he didn't just save those who needed saving spiritually, those that needed saving were also healed physically.
Stop The Traffik is a declaration of all those who believe that slave trade in anyway should no longer be practiced but be a wrongdoing of the past. William Wilberforce, abolitionist of the slave trade back in the time when Great Britain was an empire, was outnumbered in his outspokenness against the slave trade in Britain. Yet from persistence from willing to listen to God's voice the bill for the abolition of the slave trade was finally passed.
Years on, today, there are more slaves than there were in William's time in Britain. The time is now to respond. People trading is a horrible thing that's happening, right under our noses. We may not see them, nor may we hear the cries of the people who are trafficked. But someone noticed.
Choose, and act.
